workshop #1  I'm a runner

"MY INVISIBLE TOOL BOX"

Date: Wednesday 5th April, 6pm - 8pm

Presenter: Chris Sanson, Health and Fitness Coach, Professional Athlete.  

As Director and Head Coach of Love My Sport Chris has a vast amount of knowledge to share with you. Learn the tricks of the trade for how to get the most out of your training. Chris will cover things from getting through that busy week and getting that run in, to knowing what kind of running shoe is best for you. You will also learn about the runner's invisible tool box and what Chris keeps in his.

There will be time for discussion and Q and A.

WORKSHOP #2  INJURY PREVENTION

"RUNNING, A FORGOTTEN SPORT?"

Date: Wednesday 19th April, 6pm - 8pm

Location: Hunterville Room, Coachman Hotel, 140 Fitzherbert Avenue, PN

Presenter: Francis Madden, Masters in Clinical Sport Physiotherapy. 

Francis has a wide knowledge base on injury prevention and keeping yourself well tuned to perform at your best. This workshop will cover running form, Tissue adaptation, the importance of strength and how to incorporate these things into your training and everyday lives.

workshop #3 Nutrition

"DO YOU WANT APPLES WITH THAT" 

Date: Wednesday 3rd May, 6pm - 8pm

Location: Hunterville Room, Coachman Hotel, 140 Fitzherbert Avenue, PN

Presenter: Kate Morland, Sports Dietitian / Nutritionist

Come hear Kate speak about how to fuel up and recover after training. Training for events is not just about hitting the pavement and hoping for the best, it is about working out what foods and fluids work for you to maximise energy, performance and recovery. This workshop will include food tastings, practical activities and direction for your race day plan.

workshop #4 READY SET GO

"FINDING YOUR PORSCHE KEYS IN THE GARDEN"

Date: Wednesday 17th May, 6pm - 8pm

Location: Hunterville Room, Coachman Hotel, 140 Fitzherbert Avenue, PN

Presenter: Kevin Nicholson, Fitness Coach, 100k Ultra Runner

Stepping up to the start line takes courage. Even more so if the finish is 100k away. Kevin is an everyday guy that works 9-5. He's also spent the last 20 years helping people get across that finish line. In this workshop you will learn how to take on any challenge big or small and gain the skills to leave no stone unturned.
